After many years of very low activity due to job and family I'm now (march 2024) enjoying retirement as professor Electrical Engineering (and former vice-president) of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) and this gives me time to enjoy ham radio again.
My German DOK Z51, the grid locator is JO50ee. For VHF and up I'm portable DF4NR/p in JO40xj.
My qth is Stadtlauringen, a small market town 18 km (10 miles) north of Schweinfurt, Germany, in northern Bavaria, about 120 km (75 miles) east of Frankfurt or 240 km (150 miles) north of Munich.

We live here with horses (my wife and daughter are avid riders), dogs, cats, some mice ..., radios, antennas, ...
My portable qth at our vacation home is in the nearby Rhön mountains at 590 m a.s.l. (1950 ft a.s.l.) for VHF/UHF and up contest qsos in JO40xj:

The 1.3m (4-1/2 ft) dish at the centre has a 4 band feed for the 13cm, 9cm, 6cm and 3cm bands made by DD7MH.
The 60cm (2ft) dish at the right is for 9cm, the panel antenna to the left is for 6cm.
The little mast holds a small dual band yagi for 2m and 70cms, at the top is an old F9FT yagi for 23cm.
(sorry for the mess on the tables, the photo was taken during the 2024 spring VHF/UHF/microwave contest)
I am also active in the frequency range 118 -137 MHz with 6 watts in AM and the call sign DELCU:

Piper PA-18
D-ELCU is a vintage Piper Cub PA18-95 from 1953 with a 95 hp Continental engine and a cruising speed of 77 knots.
